What a week across Central Victoria! With heavy rain and wild winds rolling through, our roof painting project in Wedderburn has been put on hold until we get the perfect weather window. Roof painting needs dry conditions, low wind, and the right temperatures for the paint to cure properly ā so for now, the brushes are on standby.
But even with the weather slowing one job down, we still made some big progress across the region, including gutter replacements in Junortoun and Campbells Forest, and even an emergency storm call-out!
šØ Roof Painting on Hold ā Wedderburn
Weāre all set and ready for a full roof paint in Wedderburn, but stormy skies and scattered showers meant pressing pause. When it comes to painting metal roofs, waiting for clear weather is crucial rushing it can lead to peeling, bubbling, or poor coating adhesion.
The moment the sun comes back for a few steady days, weāll be on the rollers bringing that roof back to life with a durable, modern new finish.
š” Gutter Replacement ā Junortoun
Earlier in the week we completed a full gutter replacement in Junortoun. The old system wasnāt performing, causing overflow risks during downpours. Fresh Colorbond gutters were installed, giving the home improved water flow and a clean, sharp look from the street.
A properly installed gutter system protects:
Fascias and eaves
Walls and framing
Foundations and landscaping
Itās one of the best investments for long-term home protection.
š² Wrapping Up the Week ā Campbells Forest
To round off the week, we finished another guttering project out in Campbells Forest. With storms hitting hard, it felt good knowing this roof and drainage system is now ready for the next big rainfall.
āļø Emergency Storm Call-Out
Mid-week, we received an urgent call after high winds ripped roof sheets from a home. We attended immediately, secured the damaged section and installed temporary weather protection to keep the property dry and safe.
Fast response in storm situations can be the difference between: ā A quick repair
ā And thousands in internal water damage
If your roof lifts, leaks or shifts in wild weather ā call us straight away.
š¾ Coraās Closing Thoughts
Iāve decided storms are noisy, windy, and not my favourite thing at all⦠but at least I get extra pats when the boys come home drenched and tired. š
Next week, fingers crossed, weāre back to warm weather, roof painting and smoother days on the tools. Stay dry out there, Central Victoria and if your roof needs help after the storm, you know who to call.
